On February 13 of each year, as a way to recognize the unique ability that radio possesses to bring people together and disseminate important information, the holiday known as World Radio Day is observed. It has a profound impact on the lives of people all around the world. Radio is the principal mode of communication and information dissemination in several countries. Several different steps have been made to raise All India Radio’s profile in the public’s mind.

The purpose of World Radio Day is to increase people’s familiarity with radio and to foster greater networking among broadcasters. Radio, which has been around for more than a century, is still a significant source of social connection. How could we forget that it played an essential part in the relief efforts and emergency responses following the natural disaster?

All India Radio had expanded into a variety of sectors since it began broadcasting in 1937 when the radio was first invented. Today, AIR News transmits 607 bulletins each day, which are aired in 92 different languages and dialects.
